Cape May Beach Badges-10 Years-Framed. If you like the Jersey Shore, you’d love Cape May. It’s at the very southern tip of New Jersey where the Garden Stae Parkway begins. “Exit 0.” Listed as one of the best, and certainly one of the oldest beach resorts in the US. It’s history dates back to early exploration with Captain Mey putting men ashore for a supply of fresh water at what is now referred to as “The Point.” Many notables have gone to CM to revive themselves in the salt water, including five former US Presidents, one of them being US Grant.
Seasonal beach tags have been collected by visitors, tourists, and even residents to and in Cape May for years. They went into effect in 1991 to help with the restoration of the beaches, deferring some of the cost  from residents and onto seasonal vacationers. For many years the students in the local schools were. Given an opportunity to design the upcoming seasonal badge and the winner got their name on the selected entry. Some people display prior years on their beach hats, and bags, while others use them for decorative purposes.
