Operators receive govt order for mobile internet shutdown

The officials of mobile phone operators said they have got directive to shut down 4G services.
The latest move comes just a day after the authorities asked the operators to block access to social media such as Facebook and Messenger just ahead of the students’ scheduled nationwide prayer and march on Friday to condemn the killings and arrests of protesters centring the quota reform movement.
Services were opened nearly six hours later.
